How to download Instagram reels and photos, step by step

Klipo lets you save Instagram reels, post photos and carousels to your phone or computer in their original quality, and extract a reel's audio as MP3. No app and no Instagram login — all you need is the post link.

1. Copy the post link from Instagram

Open the reel or post in the Instagram app, tap the share button (paper plane) and choose “Copy link”. Klipo accepts post links like instagram.com/p/… and reel links like instagram.com/reel/….

2. Paste the link in Klipo

Come back to this page, tap “Paste” or paste the link yourself, then tap “Download”. If you paste a TikTok link here by mistake, Klipo switches to the TikTok tab automatically and carries on.

3. Download the reel or its audio

For a reel, Klipo immediately prepares the video, then extracts its sound as MP3; each button shows its progress. When a button is ready, tap it once: the file is saved and a “✓ Downloaded” message shows its name.

4. Download the photos of a post or carousel

For photos and carousels, every item appears in a grid with its own “Download” button. Tap any item to view it full screen and swipe between items.

5. Open the file on your device

On Android and computers, files are in your Downloads folder. On iPhone, open the Files app, then Downloads — from there you can move them to Photos.
